Through our partnership with the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, CRAF proudly offers multiple annual scholarships to a high school senior, or college freshman, sophomore or junior who will be attending an accredited, local four-year college (in Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren and Washington counties in New York; Bennington County in Vermont; and Berkshire County in Massachusetts).

The recipient(s) must be enrolled full-time with a registered major in the communications field including marketing, graphic design, video production, journalism, public relations, etc.

Students may submit applications from March through May. Our Scholarship Committee reviews applications in May and the scholarship(s) are awarded each year at a reception for students and their families in mid-July.

This year we were able to share our scholarship with three deserving students. Two of their thank you notes are below. We look forward to continuing to make a positive impact in our community, and supporting students in their career paths.
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to you for making the Ad Club Scholarship possible. I was thrilled to learn of my selection for this honor and I am deeply appreciative of your support.

I will be majoring in the Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences program at RPI with a concentration in Computer Science. I plan to pursue a career in video game development after graduating from RPI. Thanks to you, I am one step closer to that goal.

Thank you again for your generosity and support. You have lightened my financial burden which allows me to focus more on the most important aspect of school, learning.

Sincerely,
Sean P. Thornton

I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for your support in my pursuit of my college education. Being a recipient of the Ad Club Scholarship will contribute towards my goal of a degree in Television, Radio, and Film from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. It has been my dream since I was very young to pursue a career in filmmaking. Having been admitted to the Television, Radio, and Film program at Syracuse University will allow me to make significant strides towards that dream and this scholarship will be a key component of that journey. Once again I would like to thank you and all those who have contributed to my receiving this
award.

Best regards,
Elwood W. Hamilton
