Welcome to our Blog

Find out the latest CRAF news and hear from other designers in the community.

Do you know how CRAF makes so many awesome events and benefits available to its membership? We’ll give you a hint — it starts with ‘m’ and rhymes with embers.

That’s right, folks like you make CRAF possible. By getting involved, you get to make your mark on the only professional organization in the region that includes every aspect of our industry. From printers and producers to designers and developers, we are the magic behind the magic.

CRAF has multiple committees you can join:

ADDY Committee

Always wanted to throw swanky party? Then come join in on the ADDY fun! We need detail-oriented individuals who can help plan and execute this popular event. Believe us, there’s a lot of work that goes into this annual celebration —- theme, judging, decorations, gallery set up, menu planning, etc. — and we need a committee big enough (and fun enough) to make it all happen!

Marketing Committee

If you’re all about building and maintaining brand awareness, well, look no further. Responsible for all-things-marketing CRAF, including our fabulous website, this committee keeps the organization’s mission in tip-top shape and top-of-mind. Writer? Designer? Programmer? Producer? Zookeeper? Good.

Membership Committee

The more the merrier, right? This committee is responsible for growing our network of professionals and students. Members develop and execute outreach strategies to engage prospective members from all areas of our region’s student and professional community.

Programming Committee

From social to educational and everything in between, this committee plans all of CRAF’s monthly events. If you’re interested in all the fun that goes into event planning — like brainstorming ideas, reaching out to speakers, arranging venues, and show promotion — then this committee is for you!

Scholarship Committee

CRAF is proud to offer an annual $3,400 scholarship to regional high school and college students who are pursuing a career in the communications industry. To make this possible, the scholarship committee engages with local students and administrators to get the word out and solicit candidates. Each May, the committee reviews applications and selects a winner, who is honored at a reception in June.

Social Media Committee

One thing is for sure, you’ve got to put yourself out there if you want to get noticed. Always looking for fresh ideas and some serious social savvy, the social media committee is the perfect venue for any member who wants to put their awesome powers of likes, comments, shares, reposts (etc, etc) to good.

Sponsorship Committee

Soliciting, building and maintaining strong relationships with our sponsors is key. CRAF supporters make many of our events possible, and their generous contributions offset costs to our members. And if that wasn’t enough, these amazing folks also help us make our mark across the entire 518!GReady to get involved?
