As this year’s Addy Co-Chair, I want to extend a huge congratulations and thank you to all of our members who submitted work this year.
Being a Co-Chair is a second full time job, but in the end it has some great rewards. Despite the snow, this year’s “StoryTellers” show was attended by a record number of people. We also had an increase of submissions to the ADDY awards by 40%, compared to previous years.
Given the increase of submissions from our local chapter, CRAF is pleased to announce that we are among the top 10 clubs in the Nation! Winning the AAA Incentive Prize, means CRAF will be recognized at the National AAF conference, ADMERICA, in Chicago on June 8th.
My Co-Chair, James Lewis Van-Vorst, and I will be attending ADMERICA, and are hoping to bring back all kinds of new ideas to make next year’s Addy awards even better. We will also be speaking on a panel during the American Advertising Awards Workshop.
Be sure to follow CRAF on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter as James and I document our trip to Chicago and ADMERICA. We are hoping to bring back the coveted “Advertising Club of the Year” award!
Moving forward, we are already thinking about the 2019 Addy’s! It’s never too early to join in on the fun. We are building committees now of people who would like to help plan the Addy’s. From incorporating the theme, to menu selections, decorations, centerpieces and gallery set up. We need your help!
